Dell P. E. Server has blinking amber light in front
The server has a amber light in the front. I attempted to install the Dell open manage software. However, after the download from support.dell.com, it says operating system is not supported.
So, next step is I gotta call dell at 1800 822 8965.
The tech was pretty cool. He said , lets load the DSET utility and then send me(dell) the zip file. After about 15 minutes, I sent him the logs and he told me that the server had a memory issue 6 months ago. I cleared the alerts and rebooted server. Everything was working fine after that.
Customer was happy.
